Re: [bigb] Re: Aamir's one-up on Bachchan

Lets talk about Amitabh Bachchan's movies and only about him and humbly requesting not to talk about other artists here as the forum is about Amitabh Bachchan and please no comparisons as well!

Amitabh Bachchan is at a point where he can choose movies as per his choice:-

  • Some are successful and some are not
  • He can rewind and remind us of his Tiger / Sarkar / Don days via BHTB
  • He can act as a patriarch in Baghban, Sarkar series and carry the movie on his shoulders
  • He can still do comedies and stand out in Aladin inspite of being a disaster
  • His voice is like music to me in Jodha Akbar
  • His enigmatic performances in Paa (took all the awards that year) and Cheeni Kum (too hot)
  • His laughter in Nishabd (when Jiah Khan tickles him)
  • His sexiness in K3KG, Ek Ajnabee, Nishabd, Boom
  • His slyness in Cheeni Kum and
  • His craziness in Black and Teen Patti and must not forget The Last Lear and Eklavya
  • His dialog delivery in Rann
  • His special appearances in God TGH, Delhi 6 (first reason for watching this first day first show), Shootout at LW
  • His naughy side in Cheeni Kum, Paa and Bhootnath
  • His one dance sensation to make the movie run for alteast a few days i.e. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
  • His anger in Family
  • His greatest father roles in Virudh and Sarkar series
  • His cop dramas in B&B, Dev, Khakhee (stood out inspite of 3 other actors)
  • His acting in Kaante
and I can go on...

We welcome criticism but please no comparison!

I am guessing you being quite understandable will stop the comparison! Thanks in advance!

His Delhi Belly is wrapped and ready for release with its plentiful promos and hype, while Bachchan's Bbuddha is still stuck in a time warp. Organised Aamir got his entire machinery in motion from the word Go and though Bachchan fans too gladly lapped up what the legendary actor had to offer at the beginning, it is quite obvious ki iss waqt kiska palra bhaari hai. All (staged) controversies notwithstanding, Delhi Belly is making news for its "racy" songs and the so-called "leaked uncensored promos". Another smart thing that Aamir has done is to keep his director Abhinav Deo at bay. He knows that the moment Abhinav takes the stage, hard-hitting queries would be hurled at him over his disastrous Game and the last thing he wants right now is anything negative from the past.

Last heard, many have advised Bachchan to move away from the competition and he has given it some serious thought as well. However in this industry which is ruled by egos, I would be surprised if he actually takes a step back. Well, all I can say is, Sir, for your son's sake (who is producing the film), please think again!
