Pregnant Aishwarya to wrap up 'Heroine', but the future of her film with Abhishek is now uncertain Aishwarya's been paid a visit by the stork and congratulatory messages are pouring in, but speculation is also rife about her two forthcoming films, one of them with husband Abhishek. Aishwarya, who started work on Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine" after a nine-month gap, will finish shooting for the film by next month before taking a sabbatical. But her next, Rajkumar Santoshi's "Ladies And Gentlemen" with Abhi, may take a backseat, say sources. Ash's publicist confirms, "She'll complete "Heroine" by July 30." She'll also keep her international commitments for the next two-three months before taking a break. But as for her film with Abhishek, a source says, "Since "Ladies And Gentlemen" hasn't started, nothing can be said at the moment. When the project was announced a few months ago, there were plans to start work in July." Trade analyst Komal Nahta adds, ""Heroine" is worth 20-25 crore, and anyway, Ash will finish shooting for it. In any case, till the baby bump doesn't begin to show, her work won't be impacted. The audience is mature enough today. Look at Kajol; she's still doing lead roles. In fact, at the time of "My Name Is Khan", she was a mom of one and pregnant with another. So, Aishwarya's popularity will not be affected." However, Nahta does say, "As you grow old, you must make way for younger actors. And motherhood only accelerates that process. Aishwarya will still get big roles, but some things do change. Her international endorsements may not be as impacted with her pregnancy. The only cause of concern may be the future of Santoshi's film."  |
